Dr. Li obtained her PhD at Tsinghua University with focus on the electronic structure and chemical bonding analyses of the compounds containing heavy metalic elements. She will be working on methodology and applications to catalytic reactivity.

Valerie Vaissier Welborn joins the Chemistry Department at Virginia Tech
Valerie will start her independent position as an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Virginia Tech this summer! Her husband Matthew Welborn will also start his independent career at the Molecular Sciences Software Institute in Blacksburg, hence they have solved the 2-body problem!
